Traffic stop leads to heroin arrests

LIBERTY – Two Liberty men are under arrest after a traffic stop led to the discovery of heroin in their vehicle.

State Police conducted the stop on May 16 and arrested Kevin Fanning, 27, and Christian Somers, 17. They were found in possession of some 360 bags of heroin that were hidden in the engine compartment of their vehicle. The bags contained just under 11 grams of the drug. Somers was found with additional bags on him.

Both were sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of bail.
