Jersey man charged with stealing grass seed from recycling center

ORANGEBURG – A River Vale, New Jersey man was arrested Sunday evening after he allegedly climbed a fence and entered the grounds of the Organic Recycling Center in Orangeburg and stole three bags of grass seed from a building.

An Orangetown town employee reported a suspicious person and vehicle at the 121 Route 303 address in Orangeburg just before 7 p.m.

Officers found Joseph Ottomanelli, 51, after he had allegedly scaled a fence to get inside the center property. He was charged with felony burglary, petit larceny, driving while intoxicated, criminal trespass and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
