Husband of TV reporter indicted on 15 counts of domestic violence

GOSHEN – Sean Doyle, the husband of cable TV reporter Blaise Gomez, has been indicted by an Orange County grand jury in connection with attacks on her, most recently one on March 18.

The 15-count indictment charges Doyle with strangulation, three counts of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood flow, attempted assault, four counts of criminal mischief, assault, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, coercion and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The indictment also charges Doyle in connection with an attack on Gomez on November 28, 2017.

Following the assault on March 18, Gomez wrote on Facebook that she was “strangled, repeatedly punched in the face with a closed fist, thrown into my headboard – causing it to crack – spit on, called horrible obscenities, put in a choke hold, had my trachea squeezed shut and whipped around by my hair while I could hear the follicles rip out from my head.”
